A Series of Unfortunate Events...

Casey and I met on March 29, 2008. My sister set us up and we've been together ever since!
You could say we've been through alot in our first year of marriage, so I'll start at the top!!
A few days before our wedding, my Grandma Sharon had a heart attack and was in the hospital, and unable to attend my wedding. That was really hard for me.
The day before I started feeling sick, and was sick for the next few days, which means I was sick for my wedding day. I tried very hard to enjoy that day, and I did, but I'm sure you all know how it feels to be sick, and all you want is to be in bed in your sweats watching a movie or sleeping, and not in a huge dress talking to alot of people haha. But I did very much love my reception and how it turned out, and having my friends and family there, I just wish I hadn't been sick! The next day we headed down to Salt Lake to catch a flight to Vegas. I was looking forward to days of relaxation. When we reached our flight and took our seats, we set off for Vegas! We were about half way there when our pilot comes on the speaker and says we are having a few engine problems and that we would have to turn around and go back to salt lake. Well we just so happened to be sitting next to a guy that fixes and works on airplanes for a living, and he told us that what the pilot said "problems with the engines" he really meant "One of the engines died so we'll have to turn around so we don't crash!" So you can imagine how that made us feel! But we returned safely to Salt Lake and ate some lunch (airport food sucks by the way) while we waited an hour for another flight to Vegas. Well we eventually made it down to Vegas and when we got to our hotel room, we were both so tired that we fell asleep by 6 o clock! Well we did some fun things in Vegas and had some fun experiences, when all the sudden it started to snow. We just so happened to be in Vegas when the weather decided it wanted to make breaking record snow in Vegas. While we were there it snowed the most it has EVER snowed in Vegas! Isn't that nice? Of course now I can look back on these things and laugh, they are funny now, but what a time we had!

We've had a very fun first year, and if this year was supposed to be the hardest, then that was easy!! We've had alot of fun together, and had some fun experiences with both sides of our families. So today is our anniversary, but we decided to celebrate it yesterday on a saturday. I woke up to a dozen roses and a silver bag with perfum and a new I-trip for my car! My sweetie is so good to me. I gave him a brand new wallet, becuase his was starting to look pretty sad! Well we decided we wanted to go down to salt lake to P.F. Changs, (best restaurant ever made) and see the Temple lights, and also finish up some christmas shopping we've been needing to do. Well the canyon was pretty bad, but we got through it ok, and we decided we had better take the old high way to the freeway so we don't get in a wreck. Well we totally jinxed ourselves. We were driving in front of Walker Cinemas when the car in front of us slid our of control, car spinning, and we could do nothing to avoid hitting it. So yes, we wrecked our car! Wasn't our fault though thank goodness, and everyone was alright, it just totally sucks! We wrecked my last car in January, which also wasn't our fault, but just the process of getting a new car blows! They think my jeep will be able to be fixed, and I'm so hoping that will happen! I'll cry if I have to go throught that whole process again! So my parents had to come over and get us, there was no driving of the jeep, and they felt so bad that they took us to Maddox. It cheered me up a little, but I was very much looking forward to eating at P.F. Changs and seeing the temple lights and spending that quality time with my husband. But if wedding memories weren't enough, why not make our 1st aniversary memorable too!! Be safe out there and Happy Holidays everyone!
