A Series of Unfortunate Events...

Casey and I met on March 29, 2008. My sister set us up and we've been together ever since!
You could say we've been through alot in our first year of marriage, so I'll start at the top!!
A few days before our wedding, my Grandma Sharon had a heart attack and was in the hospital, and unable to attend my wedding. That was really hard for me.
The day before I started feeling sick, and was sick for the next few days, which means I was sick for my wedding day. I tried very hard to enjoy that day, and I did, but I'm sure you all know how it feels to be sick, and all you want is to be in bed in your sweats watching a movie or sleeping, and not in a huge dress talking to alot of people haha. But I did very much love my reception and how it turned out, and having my friends and family there, I just wish I hadn't been sick! The next day we headed down to Salt Lake to catch a flight to Vegas. I was looking forward to days of relaxation. When we reached our flight and took our seats, we set off for Vegas! We were about half way there when our pilot comes on the speaker and says we are having a few engine problems and that we would have to turn around and go back to salt lake. Well we just so happened to be sitting next to a guy that fixes and works on airplanes for a living, and he told us that what the pilot said "problems with the engines" he really meant "One of the engines died so we'll have to turn around so we don't crash!" So you can imagine how that made us feel! But we returned safely to Salt Lake and ate some lunch (airport food sucks by the way) while we waited an hour for another flight to Vegas. Well we eventually made it down to Vegas and when we got to our hotel room, we were both so tired that we fell asleep by 6 o clock! Well we did some fun things in Vegas and had some fun experiences, when all the sudden it started to snow. We just so happened to be in Vegas when the weather decided it wanted to make breaking record snow in Vegas. While we were there it snowed the most it has EVER snowed in Vegas! Isn't that nice? Of course now I can look back on these things and laugh, they are funny now, but what a time we had!

We've had a very fun first year, and if this year was supposed to be the hardest, then that was easy!! We've had alot of fun together, and had some fun experiences with both sides of our families. So today is our anniversary, but we decided to celebrate it yesterday on a saturday. I woke up to a dozen roses and a silver bag with perfum and a new I-trip for my car! My sweetie is so good to me. I gave him a brand new wallet, becuase his was starting to look pretty sad! Well we decided we wanted to go down to salt lake to P.F. Changs, (best restaurant ever made) and see the Temple lights, and also finish up some christmas shopping we've been needing to do. Well the canyon was pretty bad, but we got through it ok, and we decided we had better take the old high way to the freeway so we don't get in a wreck. Well we totally jinxed ourselves. We were driving in front of Walker Cinemas when the car in front of us slid our of control, car spinning, and we could do nothing to avoid hitting it. So yes, we wrecked our car! Wasn't our fault though thank goodness, and everyone was alright, it just totally sucks! We wrecked my last car in January, which also wasn't our fault, but just the process of getting a new car blows! They think my jeep will be able to be fixed, and I'm so hoping that will happen! I'll cry if I have to go throught that whole process again! So my parents had to come over and get us, there was no driving of the jeep, and they felt so bad that they took us to Maddox. It cheered me up a little, but I was very much looking forward to eating at P.F. Changs and seeing the temple lights and spending that quality time with my husband. But if wedding memories weren't enough, why not make our 1st aniversary memorable too!! Be safe out there and Happy Holidays everyone!

Busy Busy!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know I ate way too much, but I loved it! This year was Casey and I's turn to have thanksgiving at my parents house, so all my other siblings were there as well, I had so much fun with them, and I'm so grateful for my family and how supportive we all are of each other, and I'm so Thankful for my wonderful husband and all that he does! When we returned home from that lovely feast I was just too excited to put up all my Christmas items, that I made Casey help me put up my tree! I decorated it that night with all my left over wedding decorations and it turned out so pretty! I love it! The picture doesn't do it justice.

Yesterday one of my Best Friends that I seriously haven't seen in MONTHS finally came into town and so we all went out to lunch to catch up! It was so much fun seeing Jesika and catching up! The only time we really know what's going on with each other is on out blogs!!
Happy Holidays!

This is Halloween!! Halloween!! Halloween!!

This Halloween was alot of fun this year! My family had us over to carve pumkins the sunday before, we all got pretty creative. I even had Casey carve Scooter a pumpkin, it looks pretty good!

Then on Halloween day, my sisters and I took the kids, (Kylee, Wyatt, Tate and Dax) to the mall for the little trick or treat deal they had going on there. My sisters and I also decided to dress up for this event. The kids had so much fun! After that, we went taco time for some delicious Americanized Mexican food. Later that night we took the kids trick or treating around Mt. Sterling, around where my parents live, and then a few houses down in Wellsville. Wyatt was really fun to watch this year, because he knows the meaning of it all, and all the candy! Amanda had alot of fun with him and her little Tatey, he's getting quite the personality too. After we did that for a while, Casey and I went home and watched Hocus Pocus, it's my most favorite Halloween movie! Casey wasn't too impressed, but that is probably becuase he is a guy. But he still watched it without falling asleep, so i'm sure he liked it more than he was letting on haha. I was so excited to actually have little trick or treaters at my house this year, but since we got home a little later, I only had two little ones, and had missed all the early ones. But it was still fun! Here are some fun pictures, enjoy!

Boo at the Zoo!!

Yesterday on the 10th, I thought it would be fun to get my sisters and their kids together to go to Boo at the Zoo!! Before we went though, we met at El Sol! We hadn't been there forever so it was fun to grab a little lunch. After a bean barrito and some nachos we headed over to Willow Park for Boo at the Zoo! The kids had so much fun, and were able to dress up! Kylee dressed as a witch, Wyatt was a tiger, and little Tate was the cutest little cow! We got to walk all around the park, as the kids participated in all the fun activities! We had a blast!! Here are some fun pictures!!

I'm so blessed to have two sisters that I can have this time with, and gossip with haha, and I'm so grateful that we all get along as good as we do, they are the best sisters!! Love you both! I'm also very greatful that I have wonderful nephews, and a niece that I can spend time with too! I love them all!! Here are some cute pictures of our cookie making experiance!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's Birthday, so yesterday me, my sisters, and my mom all threw him a huge surprise birthday party! We invited all his friends and family, and just about everyone we invited was able to show up! It was so much fun to put together, and we all had so much fun watching dad's face, he had no idea. I know he had a really great time seeing old friends, and his family that came up to support the BIG 50!! My dad seriously is the best dad in the world, I can probably count on one hand the times he's ever yelled at me in my entire life, and that's pretty good! I remember in high school my dad would always fix my car, and i never even had to ask, he always just knew what needed to be done and did it, or there were times when he would leave 20's in my viser and say "don't tell your mom" haha, he's seriously the coolest. If any of you know my dad, you know he's just the most laid back guy, and has the funniest sense of humor. He's the best dad anyone could ask for, and I'm glad he's my dad!

Here are some fun pictures from his surprise party!
